From Good… to Great: Best Practices in Career Development (Building Tomorrow Today, 15th Regional Consultation for Career Development)

BTT provides a venue for interactive consultation among practitioners in all areas of career development, including educators, policy makers, counsellors, industry, representatives of equality groups, government and others interested in the multifaceted world of career development. It is an opportunity to learn about new developments in the field, discover new resources, share experiences, learn new skills, and expand professional networks.

Karen Gingras joined Agriculture and Rural Development in September 2007 as the Labour Retention Manager. As a speaker, Karen works to help her audience find and understand tools available to human resources professionals and to shift their focus from retention and recruitment to business production and development.

About this Project

e Strategic HR is a collection of human resource information compiled for use by Alberta's agri-food industry by the Agriculture & Food Council. The work completed here was initiated as part of a larger strategic initiative in human resources designed to address some of the challenges faced by Alberta agri-food with respect to recruiting and retaining quality employees at all levels of value chain.
