Trina Bu?ko is a member of the Mattagami First Nation, near Timmins, Ontario and a nationally recognized leader in Aboriginal inclusion and career development in Canada. She is an accomplished workshop facilitator and keynote presenter known for delivering engaging and informative presentations both in Canada and abroad.

For the past few years, Trina Bucko has focused her work in the scope of training and educating teachers, private sector human resource professionals and other employment agency practitioners about the unique needs of Aboriginal youth and adults in career development strategies. Trina has consulted on a number of national projects in Canada to provide organizations with insights into how to develop meaningful career awareness programs for Aboriginal youth.

Trina is a trainer for the Guiding Circles program, a unique, flexible and innovative approach that engages students and their teachers to create career pathways through the use of storytelling, discussion of values, and other holistic perspectives. As a trainer for the Guiding Circles program in Canada and abroad, she provides workshops to practitioners and teachers about how to use this effective approach to engage students in career pathing. Trina has worked with the Aboriginal Human Resource Council for the past six years and is of Aboriginal First Nations decent.

About this Project
